Elon Musk Builds A Machine To Download Our Brain And Personalities

Tesla CEO announced he will be able to start large commercialization of a humanoid robot in 2023. It's a bit of fiction meeting reality. Elon Musk, the wealthiest man in the world, has ambitions for the future of humanity. What the wealthiest man in the world has in the boxes is likely to raise the hair of more than one of his detractors. Above all, it risks raising ethical questions. The billionaire says it will soon be possible to upload your brain abilities into humanoid robots. "Could you imagine that one day we would be able to download our human brain capacity into an Optimus?", Mathias Döpfner, the CEO of Business Insider's parent company, Axel Springer, asked Musk in a recent interview. Optimus is a robot Tesla introduced in 2021. "I think it is possible," Musk responded. "Which would be a different way of eternal life, because we would download our personalities into a bot," Döpfner continued. Musk agreed, and then added: "Yes, we could download the things that we believe make ourselves so unique. Now, of course, if you're not in that body anymore, that is definitely going to be a difference, but as far as preserving our memories, our personality, I think we could do that." Will You Be Able to Transfer Your Brain Soon? When asked if it's imminent, Musk doesn't say no. "I'm not sure if there is a very sharp boundary. I think it is much smoother," he developed. "There is already so much compute that we outsource. Our memories are stored in our phones and computers with pictures and video. Computers and phones amplify our ability to communicate, enabling us to do things that would have been considered magical." "We've already amplified our human brains massively with computers," he said. The first Tesla robot, namely "Tesla Bot", was introduced in August 2021. It was 5 feet and 8 inches tall and also weighed 125 pounds. In January, Musk called it "the most important product development we're doing this year." Musk indicated in January, during the fourth quarter earnings' call, that the next big product Tesla is working on in 2022 is Optimus, a human in a robot suit the company unveiled in August 2021. The Tesla Bot, as it was dubbed, would use the same artificial-intelligence systems that helped power Tesla vehicles, Musk said. "I think actually the most important product development we're doing this year is actually the Optimus humanoid robot. This, I think, has the potential to be more significant than the vehicle business over time," he told analysts. "If you think about the economy, it is -- the foundation of the economy is labor. Capital equipment is distilled labor. So what happens if you don't actually have a labor shortage? I'm not sure what an economy even means at that point. That's what Optimus is about, so very important." Humanoid Robots Are Here In the interview, Musk ensured that the humanoid robots are almost there. "I certainly don't want to have anything that could potentially be harmful to humanity. But humanoid robots are happening," he said. "The rate of advancement of AI is very rapid." Besides their use in Tesla factories where they will perform repetitive tasks, Musk sees other uses for these robots. "Optimus is a general purpose, sort of worker-droid. The initial role must be in work that is repetitive, boring, or dangerous. Basically, work that people don't want to do," the billionaire explained. He also believes that Optimus will play a role in our daily lives: Optimus is "a general focused humanoid." A prototype Optimus will be ready by the end of the year and Tesla plans to market it from 2023, says Musk. "I think we will have something pretty good at the prototype level this year, and it might be ready for at least a moderate volume production towards the end of next year," Musk promised. However, Musk admitted in 2018, too much automation is a "mistake". "Yes, excessive automation at Tesla was a mistake. To be precise, my mistake. Humans are underrated," he wrote.

Serena Williams Crashes Out Of French Open

French Open 2021: 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams crashes out after losing to Elena Rybakina Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina played some high quality tennis to end 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams journey at the French Open 2021. After dominating the first set, Rybanika broke Serena twice in the second to win the match 6-3, 7-5 in one hour and 17 minutes and qualify for the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam for the first time. The 21-year-old with the win made Williams' already long wait for her record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title longer. Williams' defeat came hours after Roger Federer withdrew from the tournament, saying he needed to let his body recover after a long third-round victory. Three-time Roland Garros champion Williams, who has been stuck on 23 Grand Slam titles, one behind Margaret Court's all-time record, was far more assured in the second set and managed to claim the victory without further fuss. Williams has been agonisingly close to matching Court's record since winning the 2017 Australian Open in her last Grand Slam event before becoming a mother. She has fallen in four Grand Slam finals and earlier this year lost in the semi-finals at the Australian Open. An electric Elena Rybakina moved really well on the court and converted 5 of the 7 break point opportunities. She hit 21 winners in comparison to Serena Williams' 15. Rybakina was also successful in firing 4 aces. Ahead of the match, she had called Serena Williams a legend. “The legend of the sport. Of course I want to be with her on the court, to feel this power and everything. I was watching her matches when I was growing up, and it will be nice to play with Serena. Why not?” https://www.indiatoday.in/amp/sports/tennis/story/serena-williams-crashes-out-of-french-open-2021-loses-to-elena-rybakina-21-year-old-maiden-quarterfinals-1811653-2021-06-06

Twitter Ban: Lai Mohammed Needs To Have His Brain Examined – Bode George

Chief Olabode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the weekend said Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture owe Nigerians explanation over the ban of Twitter in the country. For deleting President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet, the Minister on Friday announced Twitter’s suspension in a statement by his media aide, Segun Adeyemi. The statement announcing Twitter’s ban was was also published on Twitter via Nigeria’s Ministry of Information and Culture’s handle. The Nigerian government’s spokesman cited “the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence” as the reason for the suspension. Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Bode George, former Military governor of old Ondo state said Nigerians shouldn’t be punished for an offence committed by the president. “The outright ban of Twitter is not a proper thing to do. This government should be patient in their dealings. If the federal government is angry with Twitter, does that imply that all Nigerians are also at war with Twitter? Were Nigerians consulted before this decision was taken?”. “ The head of the Minister of Information should be examined. Why will he advise the President to take such a decision? Why should the Minister of Communications give that advice? If they find any fault with our currency now, will the federal government ban the exchange of naira to dollars?” “This is scary. Why are we just fighting everybody up and down? It has nothing to do with politics. It is undemocratic and illegal. My advice to oga (President Buhari) is to take things easy”. “We are in a democracy and not under military rule. When Twitter banned Donald Trump during the US presidential election, why didn’t Trump place outright ban on Twitter in the whole of US?” “The President’s account with Twitter is an individual account, not that of all Nigerians. Twitter is a private company and they have their laws”. “If they said the President’s tweet violated their rules and deleted it; let them take it up with Twitter. It is an individual account and not that of the entire country. Are we consulted before the President signed in for Twitter? Why should we be punished for his sins?”. https://independent.ng/twitter-ban-lai-mohammed-needs-to-have-his-brain-examined-bode-george

“The robbers then took control and drove Pasuma around for about three hours. While he was in their custody, Pasuma hid his face from them so the robbers did not know he was the one.
